Absent but still Present

Forever captured
Your memory

Used daily
The skills you gave us

Passed to the future
The love you shared freely

Always valued
Your fighting spirit

Treasured like gold
Our lives as your unselfish gift

Free Writing

I am a great believer in the concept of free writing. This month I am posting several pieces I have written in September last year. I cam across the pieces on over the last few weeks and since I have been suffering the challenges of writers's block when even free writing did not do much to get the creativity flowing.

Thank you for following my writing and please leave some comments!

Always Learning

Train my tongue
To taste life

Coach my feet
To walk straight

Exercise my mind
To think clearly

Leave my hair
To grow wild

Educate my hands
To work hard

Can you Please

Jumble my mind
When I’m too complacent

Ease my heart
When I’m too anxious

Settle my tummy
When I’m filled with hunger

Ease my hands
When it’s idle with impatience

Slow down my feet
When it seeks an irrational beat

Consolidated

Drape your ideas
In concepts
Solid

Reveal your discoveries
In expressions
Sound

Voice your opinions
In visions
Clear

Wrap your realities
In multiple
Strategies

Protect your identity
In a singular
Entity

Humble Requests

Wake me up
When I fall asleep

Touch my shoulder
When I weep

Ease my fears
When I’m irrational

Challenge me
When I spew views conventional

Indulge me
When I offer friendship unconditional

“No place for the devil”

Every day
I push against the edge
Creating something new
Half a sock yesterday
Perhaps a pair complete
By the end of the week
Baked goodies today
To share with many
New rhymes
To keep a restless mind at bay
Writing a letter
Connect with friends and family far away
Creativity
Needs an open mind
More than
Material gains
