My Freedom Day
Sleeping late
Savouring the memory
That day we crossed
“The Point of no return”
Crowded agendas
Hearts that continue to burn
Delivered
In liberation
Still
So much to learn
I celebrate
My Freedom Day
Quietly
Thoughts
Coursing through my mind
Some appreciation
Considering the hard times
Party politics long since left behind
No one explained
In liberation
We will still
After complete freedom yearn
